I used to go caving with the WMCEG around about 1970/71. I remember a few exploits as well as drinks in the Bear Hotel Crickhowell followed by a dodgy drive to the Sunday School hut.
Are there any pics available, especially of our dig? Cornflake passage was memorable. [I too recall the Bear (and I recall at least one other pub in Crickhowell) and the somewhat hazardous drive back to the Sunday School do stick in the memory! On one of my early visits the car I was a passenger in had a slight arguement with a wall on the steep hill up to ODSS , on another occasion the hill was too much of a challenge for the car (a mini of course…) we had to get out and push. We often took the other road, usually very quiet in the evenings as it only lead to ODSS or back down the hill to Crickhowell. A nice quiet sopt for a rural tryst perhaps? Our headlights illuminated a large bare arse pressed against the windscreen of a parked car.]
